With the number of coronavirus cases in the UK and Europe on the rise, we are constantly reviewing this evolving situation in close collaboration with our counterparts within the NHS and Public Health England (PHE).
The latest available evidence is that the coronavirus is a mild illness in most cases, with the majority of people developing a cough and fever.
However, those who are frail or have existing health conditions are at greater risk of exhibiting more serious symptoms.
To help prevent the coronavirus from spreading, you can do the following things:
Wash your hands with soap and water often – if soap and water are unavailable, use hand sanitiser gel
Cover your mouth and nose with your sleeve or a tissue (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
Put used tissues immediately in the bin
If your hands are not clean, you should not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
