We want to make sure that you are safe and secure when you are living in your home. We offer services and products to help you do this.
Gas servicing
We arrange for a gas safety check to be carried out on your heating system every 12 months.
We do this to make sure it is safe to use as faulty or unsafe gas appliances can cause carbon monoxide poisoning.
Whilst carrying out the gas safety check on your heating system, the Trust’s contractors will also check, free of charge, any gas appliances owned and fitted by tenants – such as gas fires or cookers. However, if they are found to be faulty or unsafe, the contractors will be obliged to disconnect them and you will need to arrange for them to be re-installed by a registered Gas Safe fitter.

Home contents insurance
The Trust does not insure our tenants’ furniture or personal belongings against theft or damage.
As a tenant you should take out home contents insurance which covers items such as furniture, floor coverings, internal decoration and personal belongings from fire, flooding and theft.
You can also take out extended accidental damage and optional extensions to cover personal possessions (in and out of the home), wheelchairs/mobility scooters and hearing aids.
